Indian housewives hold 11% of the World's Gold. That is more than the reserves of the U.S., IMF, Switzerland and Germany put together.

 During past time India is said to be the "Golden Sparrow" Because India has the huge amount of Gold And other precious metals, With that amount of Gold , Silver and others India has always been the center of attraction for others countries, and with the slogan of "ATHITHI DEVO BHAWA"( Means Guest is God)India has always welcomed other countries to come in but some of them has taken the bad advantage and has robbed India many times in history that make India lose his title of "Golden Sparrow"

 But still India has the left with the such amount of Gold that made India to hold 11% of World's gold.
Indian women are very fond of wearing the gold and they don't like to use the artificial jewelry.
More interesting fact is that they keep it wearing most of the time, Not like others do on special ocassions
